WEDDINGS BY HAMPTON MANOR
When you choose a place to marry, a mere venue just won’t do. As you make the most meaningful memories of your life, you want a place that you can call home. We know that your wedding day reflects who you are as a couple. That’s why we’ve made serving you our craft. Few wedding venues have a Michelin starred restaurant at the heart of it where the daily practice of celebration is our reason for being. So you can rest assured that we know how much the details of your day matter, leaving you free to embrace each and every memory that unfolds.
YOUR COUNTRY HOUSE FOR THE DAY
It’s a rich romantic history that Hampton Manor carries with it. Back in the twelfth century Mathilde de l’Aigle became the first bride of the Manor. Nine centuries later Sir Frederick Peel built the Neo-Tudor gothic style Manor that we’re familiar with. Scour the original oak panelling, and you’ll find his initials entwined with those of his wife, Elizabeth.
Today the staff have ditched their morning suits and donned jeans and tweed. There’s no longer a lady of the Manor, but a tribe of foodies who come back time and again to feast at our tables. Gone are the formal airs and the red carpets expected for a country house of our standing. Rather, your guests can kick back and relax in a haven of contemporary design. With Peel’s Restaurant at its core, Hampton Manor is a place of refreshing ideas, artisan finds and a home for the discerning couple.
Whether you choose a church wedding or civil ceremony, all is close to home. Say your vows in the estate’s rustic barn, The Birches, or stroll over to the steepled parish church which adjoins the estate.
Like all of our house, The Courtyard is the best of modern and historic. Spacious, light and airy, you’ll enjoy the outdoors from the inside, whatever the weather. The beautiful old stone walls ensure timeless character whilst the glass roofed atrium brings a contemporary feel to the vision for your day.
THE WEDDING BREAKFAST
Food is close to our heart. So many of our best memories are made around the table and we know your wedding day is not a day to settle. Our menus are inspired by award winning Peel’s Restaurant and our ingredients are carefully chosen by head chef, Rob Palmer. At our wedding tasting evening, you’ll be able to taste all the options and sample our cutting edge Tap Wine bar. Upgrade your menu with extra courses to create a tasting experience or for a limited number of weddings per year, Rob Palmer’s Michelin-starred team will dedicate their night to you, working with you to develop a bespoke menu.
AN ARTS AND CRAFTS HOUSE
Every romance has a tale and it’s the stories that are lived within our walls that makes our house a home. Our house is full of history. Built at the birth of the Arts and Crafts era, the Manor was a celebration of craftsmanship and the beauty of nature. Today, we’re reimagining our country estate with respect for the past, creativity for the now. We’re a community of young creatives: chefs and sommeliers, gardeners and bakers, potters and designers.
With 15 bedrooms, afternoon tea, private dining and Peel’s Restaurant, there’ll always be a reason for you to keep coming back to relive your day.
