ON THE SHELVES
Under the leadership of our head baker, Adam Cross, we use stoneground UK grown grains, sourced from farms with a regenerative and organic ethos, to bring the distinctive flavour that our bread carries.
All our baked goods and pastries are made from this meticulously sourced grain. Expect croissant, pan suisse, morning buns, savoury bites like nduja sausage rolls, plus cakes and tarts. At the weekend, we bake our ever-popular cruffins and seasonal focaccia. Just don’t wait too late to come and see us as both always sell out.
LARDER
Along side our breads and bakes, you’ll always find a single origin coffee on filter, as well as barista-made drinks. We also offer a selection of specially curated larder essentials, all from UK businesses, with stories behind them. Expect single origin coffee beans, tea tins from companies like Rare Tea, plus single estate chocolate from ethical organisations like Pump Street. If you fancy yourself as baker, you’ll also find flour from Tuxford Windmill.
HONEY
We’ve two hives in our walled garden and you’ll find a limited batch of honey on the shelves every autumn. Our beekeeper Sarah looks after several hives in our village so when ours has run out, you’ll find the village honey and honeycomb from Sarah’s bees will be on the shelves too.
Bread School
Fancy playing the role of baker yourself? Join us in the Cookery School on selected dates throughout the year for a hands-on, seasonal workshop.
