What made you chose Hampton Manor?

We saw Hampton manor on social media, a few looks at the gorgeous pictures we were immediately drawn to the style, vibe and beauty of it all. We came to view and as soon as I walked through the door I was sold, that sold we didn’t even look at any other venues. The fact it is independent, everything felt so personal and thought through, the fine attention to detail, the glam. There was no where else we wanted to get married.

Maybe we are biased as we had the best day, but it really is a place like no other. The fine attention to detail, personal touches and pure elegance cannot be matched. They really thought of everything ( even down to the toiletries in the bathrooms of the hotel rooms, there was shampoo for textured hair- I have NEVER seen this before), this really blew me away.

Communication throughout out planning process was seamless, nothing was ever too much and I feel they want to do as much as they can to give you the best day possible. The organisation on the day was brilliant too, everything ran smoothly, no stress for us. If we could do it all over again we would!

What was your favourite moment?

It’s so hard to choose! All of it. The ceremony, the wedding breakfast, staying over getting ready in the beautiful cottage the night before. Our night stay in the Sarah Ireland Suite! Honestly, everything in the build up, on the day and after was just a ‘wow’ moment, everything took our breath away.

What was your favourite food memory?

Gosh even harder to choose! Our food tasting prior to our day and wedding breakfast has to be the one (joint first). We had a lot of comments from guests about how amazing the food and wine were throughout.

Tell us about the inspiration for the styling of the day.

Well, we were autumn/ winter so we wanted warm, cosy but elegant vibes. We knew how cosy Hampton Manor was as nights drew in so we wanted our guests to really feel and experience this. I wasn’t 100% sure how to execute this initially so discussed this with Amy ( from AVA Event Styling) and she absolutely hit the nail on the head. Warm autumnal colours, candles and fires gave us this feel and it was really just so magical.

Tell us a little about what made you fall in love with your dress?

Its funny, before dress shopping I had a picture in my mind of the dress I thought I’d have wanted, I went dress shopping with that idea strongly cemented in my head. I went to Wedding Belles who were fantastic, I tried on what I thought I wanted and it just didn’t feel right. I went through a variety of different styles until I tried on the one. The fit, the way it hung and made me feel made me realise this was it. I turned to my mum and bridesmaids and everyone had tears in their eyes. I think that was the moment I fell in love. I went with a dress from their private collection Lottie and Meg’ it was completely the opposite to the initial idea but it was perfect for me. Goes to show, an open mind goes a long way!!! 

Who were the rest of your dream team?

I cannot thank my suppliers enough for everything they did in making our day do so special
