A Summer three day wedding
After finding that their dream wedding abroad was fraught with planning difficulties, Mary and Richard turned to us at Hampton Manor. Wanting to preserve the holiday vibe to their wedding, Mary and Richard designed a bespoke wedding package with us so they could treat their guests to a long weekend getaway.
Starting with an afternoon in the walled garden, bathed in August light, their welcome dinner was hosted at Grace & Savour, voted the number one restaurant in the UK within a year of its opening.
For their wedding day, M & R enjoyed exclusive use of Hampton Manor from dawn to dusk with the party that everyone is still talking about.
Their final day finished in our second restaurant, Smoke, with its earthy, wood fired vibes. A perfect setting for their goodbye BBQ with their nearest and dearest.

What made you chose Hampton Manor?
Richard and I had a dream of a wedding which was more than just a wedding day, it would be a break, an escape, a holiday for all our friends and family. We thought we would have to look abroad for this kind of venue but found that Hampton Manor could give us everything we wanted, and we wanted a lot! The pre wedding dinner venue, the gorgeous wedding day venue and day after venue, all in one place, exclusively ours for 3 days. We dreamed of something, somewhere special and Hampton Manor delivered.

What was your favourite moment?
I presume I am not allowed to say every moment from beginning to end? It was actually the ceremony itself. I had dreamed of an outside wedding but having spoke to a lot of people, they all recommended the Birches. The intimate, beautifully decorated space, made for the most incredible ceremony that felt so special and all of our friends and family were part of that.

Tell us about the inspiration for the styling of the day
The brief was bright, and fun. A celebration of summer (hoping that we would get the weather we got), I wanted the brightest of pinks and yellows and peaches. Colours to make everyone smile and stand out.

What was your favourite foodie memory?
All the food, at every moment was incredible. Every meal different to the last, each one as good as the last. Key moment for me was the arrival of the cinnamon bun in the morning of the wedding, I didn’t know how much I needed that beautiful, sugar coated, delicious pastry! The day after in Smoke as well was just something else, the perfect day after indulgent bbq to end the celebrations.

Tell us a little about what made you fall in love with your dress?
My dress was incredible, it was so unique, which I think is quite hard to achieve whilst still being beautifully classic. The fit was perfect, the lace detailing was so intricate. The back ‘tattoo’ was just the most unique thing I had ever seen. And then, THE TRAIN, oh my goodness, I went big. But it was so worth it, the shape of that dress was just stunning. Oh and also, I sparkled, the dress was covered in tiny flecks of glitter and sparkle, who doesn’t want to be sparkly!
Boutique was Caroline Bailey Bridal Blackbrook Barns
The dress was Dando London and the style was Saint Lucia.

Who were your dream team?
Our standards are high, we cannot deny that but every single one of them met the brief and smashed it out the park. Particularly the band, our guests have not stopped talking about the band! The dance floor had everyone dancing, the whole night!
