What’s your recovery package? An estate full of foodie experiences. Forty five acres to roam freely. Food, wine, well-being and craft workshops to discover something new. Sumptuous rooms to collapse back into.
From £360pp midweek for 2 nights with dinner on both nights, bed and breakfast and inclusive of a complimentary wine tasting. Check in is either on a Tuesday (check out Thursday) or Friday (check out Sunday).
WOOD-FIRED FEASTS IN THE WALLED GARDEN
On the first night, you’ll dine in or around Smoke – our rustic smokehouse, set in the walled garden. To enable social distancing, we’re opening up our green houses for candlelight dinners under the vines. Picture fire pits, slow roasted meats and garden vegetables, all cooked on the wood fired oven.
THE NYETIMBER SUMMER HOUSE
Our glass roofed courtyard has been transformed into a summer house, decked with blooms and botanicals. Serving Nyetimber by the glass and afternoon treats to eat in the courtyard. Or we’ll pack you a picnic into a basket with a rug to take out onto our 45 acres of lawns and woodland.
A MICHELIN-STARRED DINNER
The finale of your stay is a meal in Peel’s Restaurant for your Michelin-starred dinner. Finish off in our large and comfy lounge, picking your tune to go on the record player. Our whisky list might just get you singing!
FALL INTO BED
Let’s introduce you to our house. There’s enough country houses already out there that take the traditional path. We’ve banned the beige and embraced personality and playfulness. Each room is different, featuring Arts and Crafts prints in an ode to William Morris, the mover and shaker of the era when our house was built.
DISCOVERIES AT THE MANOR
After months at home, more time on the sofa might not tick your holiday box. It’s time to be curious about life once again and wander off the beaten track. We’re collaborating with our network of makers, craftsmen and artists to bring you some experiences that will put a bit of wonder back into life after lockdown.
During your stay, you’re invited by the family hosts, James and Fjona, for a complimentary wine tasting and a guided tour of the Walled Garden where we’ll introduce you to the stories behind all that you’re enjoying.
A REUNION WITH FRIENDS
How about a gourmet getaway with friends in our 4 bedroom cottage? Weekends away together are the kind of memories that are landmarks in our friendships. Let’s make them count.
Manor Cottage overlooks the Walled Garden ajoined by a little garden gate into your own private garden. You’ll have your own lounge, a kitchen with an aga, sunroom and dining room in addition to your four ensuite bedrooms.
YOUR SOCIALLY DISTANCED STAY
We are fortunate to have 45 acres and a spacious building where social distancing can be achieved without you feeling the restriction or abnormality of it. With a maximum of 38 overnight residents on the estate at one time, you’ll have an acre each!
We have installed temperature checking cameras that automatically scan guests and team members upon entry. All our dining areas have been laid out with generous 1m distancing. We have chosen not to wear masks as permitted by current guidelines. All our areas are thoroughly cleaned by our attentive team and steam cleaning takes place of all the bedrooms between stays.
Any workshops will be in small groups and will take into account the social distancing and spacing, We will, of course, make best use of the 45 acres of fresh air!
