THE GREAT BRITISH STAYCATION
It’s rare to find a whole estate dedicated to crafting a 3 day adventure for the intrepid foodie. Our passion for food, wine and immersive experience has inspired us to reimagine the British short break for those that love craft, story and meaningful connection.
With forty five acres of woodland to roam, a walled garden, a Manor House and charming Victorian greenhouses the scene is set .
From £365pp for 2 nights with dinner on both nights (see below for details for where you will dine), bed and breakfast and inclusive of a complimentary wine tasting.
FIRST NIGHT: WOOD-FIRED FEASTS IN THE WALLED GARDEN
On the first night, you’ll dine at Smoke – our most rustic setting on the edge of the walled garden. Surrounded by the candle lit green houses and our old vines you’re in for night to remember. Picture fire pits, slow roasted meats and garden vegetables, all cooked in the wood fired oven.
THE NYETIMBER COURTYARD
Our glazed courtyard has been transformed with blooms and botanicals that change each season. Serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon treats, it’s the hub of the house. Enjoy a range of Nyetimber’s sparkling wines by the glass. Feeling more adventurous? We’ll pack you a picnic basket and rug to take out into the countryside.
SECOND NIGHT: A MICHELIN-STARRED DINNER
The finale of your stay is a Michelin starred tasting menu in Peel’s Restaurant with optional wine pairings. Finish off in our large and comfy lounge, picking your favourite tunes to go on the record player or discover a new tipple at the Maker’s table!
Let’s introduce you to our house. It is full of personality and playfulness. Each room is different, featuring Arts and Crafts prints in an ode to William Morris, the mover and shaker of the era when our house was built. Bathrooms are generous and all feature rooms and suites have double ended baths and walk in showers. The lounge has sofas to sink into, games to play, vinyl to spin and fires to warm by. Fred’s bar offers a bar billiards table and a curated selection of craft beverage. The house is your home, bring your slippers.
FOOD AND CRAFT WORKSHOPS
We’re collaborating with our network of makers, craftsmen and artists to bring you workshops and experiences that will put a bit of wonder back into life after lockdown. Chocolate, art, bread, pottery, wine, essential oils… just a few things on the cards.
During your stay, you’re invited by the family hosts, James, Fjona and Fraser for a complimentary wine tasting and a guided tour of the walled garden where we’ll introduce you to the stories behind all that you’re enjoying.
This October, we’re celebrating harvest with bread making workshops and a cider twist on our complimentary wine tastings.
