Health Rewilded

Your 3 day guided escape

Too often we are persuaded to make the pursuit of health a sterile and soulless journey, with harsh detox regimes and punishing exercises that are unsustainable. At Hampton Manor, we believe that healthy and happy can be a joy-filled reality to be lived. Which is why we’ve partnered up with practicing GP and lifestyle healthcare expert, Dr Sally Bell, to offer new year staycation experiences to feed your body, your mind and everything in between.

Health Rewilded is a three-day guided escape, which incorporates the wonder of real food, our connection to ourselves and nature, how movement supports our journeys, and our innate biological brilliance to heal. Expect yoga, breath workshops and a cookery experience which explores maintaining a healthy gut. But also expect a chocolate tasting, a plentiful wine list, and our Michelin-starred kitchen preparing your meals, with no food types “off limits” and our signature seasonal, local, produce-forward approach.

THE ITINERARY

Single Leaf

Day 1:

Arrive from 2pm.

Enjoy a relaxed welcome walk led by Dr Sally Bell. Explore the grounds of the Manor and connect with nature. Health Rewilded is an approach to health that taps into our innate biological ability to heal and repair and understands the critical importance of reconnecting with nature. Use this opportunity to let go of our busy weeks and enter into a time of rest.

Dinner is at Smoke, on the edge of our walled garden. Expect four-courses of wood-fired deliciousness from MasterChef: The Professionals winner, Stu Deeley and his team.

Led by Fiona Morris, enhance your sleep with a short evening yoga practice where we will combine mindfulness, movement and sound. Or head straight to your sumptuous bed for the night. This is your time for you.

Day 2:

After breakfast in the Manor, join David Jackson, Oxygen Advantage Master for an exploration of breath.

Understand why how we breath impacts every aspect of our health and experience of life, then practice breathing techniques that will help you tap into this biological brilliance. Whether it is peace, a happy gut, or a happy heart, David’s session will equip you with an essential tool for health.

Help yourself to a relaxed lunch in the courtyard, which will include a generous selection of nutritious salads and tasty treats, curated by David Taylor, head chef at soon-to-be-open Grace & Savour.

In the afternoon, join award-winning nutritionist, Lucy Williamson, to explore the mission critical topic of attaining a happy gut. You’ll each make a ferment based on your needs.

Dinner is at Michelin-starred Peel’s Restaurant, at the heart of the Manor. Dr Sally is a huge believer in the benefits of a balanced diet, with no banned foods. So, expect our usual decadent, accomplished plates, with little tweaks from Sally and head chef, Darren Meacham.

Who said chocolate and health don’t mix? After dinner, Sally will lead a chocolate tasting, unpicking the importance of nutrient density and the impact on health and taste while sampling award winning single bean chocolate from Luisa’s Vegan Chocolates.

Day 3:

Movement medicine: Distraction in our lives can make joy and pleasure an elusive experience. Getting present to savour the moment is an art and a science. After breakfast, join Fiona and Sally to use mindful movement to reset and reconnect with ourselves.

This 90-minute session will be followed by an opportunity to capture your inner wisdom with a closing session guided by Dr Sally Bell.
