Robert Dudley

Who?

In 1572 the manor was granted to Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester by Queen Elizabeth I, but when he died it again reverted to the Crown.  Robert was a suitor for the Queen’s hand in marriage for many years.

All our rooms have a working desk space, designer furniture by Reeves Design (www.reevesd.com), stylish bathrooms by Sarah Ireland (www.sarahireland.com), bath robes, slippers, complimentary spa toiletries, homemade cookies, wireless internet, ipod docking station, fridge, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities for those that really insists doing it themselves but we’re just waiting to serve you. All rooms are air conditioned ensuring you have complete control over your room temperature in the summer and winter.

Each of our feature rooms offer something unique and special. They are spacious, comfortable and stylish, but whether it’s the big bath at the end of your bed, beautiful garden views or quirky design, you are in for a treat. Each room has its own DVD player, large TV and at least one comfy chair to relax in.
