All the rooms in the Butler’s lodge are named after the Richard Hennessy’s cognac flight that we serve from our trolley in Peel’s Restaurant.  Richard is the very understated name of the Hennessy’s biggest hitting brandy. The top end in the permanent Hennessy range, this is named after former mercenary Richard Hennessy, an Irish aristocrat who founded his Cognac house in 1765 on land granted by a grateful Louis XV of France. The cognac is a blend of the Grands Siecles, a unique assemblage of over 100 eaux-de-vie matured to their fullest. The oldest of these are extremely rare.

Alternative & laid back, this is the room for those that like it a little different.  Richard is our loft room with a very cool Moroccan style seating area, big sofa and delicious roll top bath awaiting you.   Seriously fun for those couples wanting to lounge about and not leave the room.  The Butler’s lodge can be hired as a private lodge with the 3 bedrooms and shared lounge.  Ideal for a celebration with friends.
