James Hill

Managing Director. James runs the Manor on behalf of his family. Growing up in a small 400 year old Inn in Worcester run by his parents, Jan and Derrick, the concept of good hospitality was imbued upon him from birth. Over the years he developed a passion for food and the associated craftsmanship. James has led the transformation of Hampton Manor since 2008 when he walked into an enchanting but dilapidated estate that had stood empty for over a year. The building was stripped back to the bare bones before the painstaking restoration began. Today it is the natural home to Michelin starred, four AA rosette destination restaurant Peel’s restaurant.
