Let’s Celebrate English Wines!
Julia Trustram Eve is the driving force behind English Wine Producers. It’s objective is simple: to promote English Wines to a wide audience. And we’ve got a lot to celebrate with over 500 vineyards in England and Wales covering some 4,500 acres. In comes English Wine Week; a week of revelling in all things this island has to offer us in terms of vino. Vineyard tours, dinners, masterclasses will be sweeping the nation.
Here at Hampton Manor we’re already big fans of the national juice. At the beginning of 2017 we visited Nyetimber’s vineyards in Sussex to learn about their production and the wine making process (they use the same method as Champagne.) Now Nyetimber’s Blanc de balncs, Demi-Sec and Rose sit at the top Peel’s Restaurant’s wine list.
On Saturday 27th May Julia herself will be hosting ‘An Introduction to English Wine.’ There will be seven of Julia’s elected wines to try, accompanied by pulled pork baps and ribs from the Big Green Eggs and a generous helping of vino-know-how.
Tickets are all go! £35 per guest: include 7 wines and pulled bork baps with ribs.
